I love faeries. In fact, I have faerie statues in my room. So, imagine my delight and surprise when I met Melissa Marr in person at the Romantic Times convention in Orlando last month. She was promoting her new book, Fragile Eternity which I had her autograph. From page one, I was hooked and I wanted to read the entire book, but felt I should stop and read the books in this series in order. Off to the bookstore I went to get my copy of Wicked Lovely. Though I confess to not being a Young Adult, which is the audience these books are geared for, I must admit to falling in love with her series. The faerie world she has created is amazing. I love her descriptions of the faeries, which conjure up images relating to their titles the Winter Queen, the Summer girls, etc. I dont want to spoil the fun youll have reading this delightful tale, so all Ill tell you is that it is about Aislinn, a teenage mortal, who is pursued by the King of Summer, Keenan. He hopes that she is his Summer Queen, who has been lost for centuries. He will regain the power of his throne that he lost if she will join with him that is, if she can pass the test that the Winter Queen (his mother) has devised with the Dark King. Aislinn learns that once a mortal is chosen by a faerie, she is forever changed and cannot go back to a normal life. This upsets her because she has fallen in love with her human friend, Seth. The book is filled with new love, lost love, revenge and hope. I loved it and I think you'll love it, too.
Fun With Dick and Jayne is just that..a fun romp with the neighbors.
Delilah is one of my favorite authors because Delilah delivers! In this contemporary novella, Delilah breaks all conventions. First, we meet a cop who just happens to be a voyeur. Then we find out the woman he is attracted to is in a very committed relationship, but that doesn'’t stop Jayne from pursuing the hunky cop across the way. But the kicker is when we find out what this couple has in mind for Garrett-- and that’'s where the conflict comes in. Because who wouldn'’t love adorable Jayne? Delilah'’s prose is smooth as silk and the descriptions of Jayne'’s playful and enticing ways make her the perfect woman to change the hero’'s mind about taking a chance and going for it because it feels right. I highly recommend this delightful story.
Reading Marilyn Campbell’'s “"Primal Beat" was enough to get my primitive urges going. I needed a cold shower after reading that! Her tall, handsome hero with his sexy voice and frameless glasses is so hot that I wish he were real! Add erotic music to the mix and I was flipping through the pages wanting to find out what was going to happen next. I’'ll volunteer to be his test subject anytime.
Marilyn has a winner here! It'’s a quick read and you can’t help falling for Dr. Spencer Banning. Though he'’s nerdy in an absent-minded professor way, as she describes, he'’s sexy as all get out! I love the way Marilyn chose to make her characters shy - – it made their unusual first sexual encounter even more delightful. I love the way Marilyn describes the music’'s effect on Ivy. Can’'t wait for more erotica from this author! She’'s on my must-read list.
What would it be like to have a hunky neighbor for a friend when what you really want is so much more? Kaily Hart explores this concept in Pay Up! Her heroine, Carly, is living next door to a gorgeous firefighter, Rio Reyes, who has a very active sex life. It’'s torture to Carly since she can hear everything through the vent in the ceiling. She fantasizes about what it must be like to be his playmate.
Rio regrets not making a move on Carly the day he met her in the elevator. She gets serious with a guy named Greg and all Rio could do is to be a friendly neighbor. But one day, he finds out she’s single again and his friends convince him if he doesn'’t claim her soon, she'’ll slip away. Cleverly, he makes a sexual favor bet with him, one he knows he can’'t lose either way.
He gets injured on one of his fire-fighting missions and comes home drugged up after getting stitches. She wants to watch over him that night, so invites him to her bed. They get it on, but he doesn’'t remember anything and is worried he forced her. But they straighten it out, and from that moment on, things get really HOT!
Kaily Hart knows how to ramp up the excitement. She builds slowly to the point where these two can'’t keep their hands off each other and then lets loose. Phew! I needed a cold shower by the end of the book. Kaily’'s got a great writing style and I look forward to reading her next hot tale.
"Noelle’'s Gift" is Shannon Emmel’'s debut erotica novel, and what a fantastic beginning it is!
From the moment I started reading this story, I couldn'’t put it down. In fact, she had me
fantasizing about the luxurious feel of fur against my skin. Oh yes! I can totally relate to the
heroine and her fetish.
What a clever idea Shannon had making the hero a man who loves Christmas and dressing up
as Santa. All that fur drives the heroine crazy, and who can blame her? He’'s a hunk, he’'s dressed
in fur, and he’'s also irresistible! What more could a girl want for Christmas?
This is a story I’ll want to read over and over again. I highly recommend Noelle’'s Gift. You'’ll definitely have a Merry Kinkmas after you read this tale! I can'’t wait for Shannon’'s next novel.
